Believe in Yourself

Yesterday was the official last day of summer break for my son. As we drove to the campus this morning, I noticed he had the first day jitters. I reminded him that if he believes he can do anything, he will, and that every choice he makes today will have a direct impact on his future. I told him to be original and genuine. Typical mom speak.

Later, I followed up with a text message reminding him that he is so “money.” (Ever see “Swingers” with Vince Vaughn and Heather Graham?) That got a ha ha or LOL — something like that.

Anyway, I want to share with you one of my favorite quotes that reiterates what I explained to my boy: Believe in yourself and there will come a day when others will have no choice but to believe with you. – Cynthia Kersey

Happy believing!

I recently had a similar talk with my Grands just before they started school. I also tell them that I already believe in them. Good Luck to your son!

Yes. And a difficult lesson to take to heart at that age. But it is clear that you believe in your son and that will carry him until his own confidence takes over. I loved this. Thanks.

Yes, Bill, that is my hope anyway. Blessings.
