Colorado, I Miss You Already

Dear Colorado,

I miss you already. A week with you is just not enough time. With every visit, I am drawn closer by your quiet beauty and pure energy. Your landscape of green and gold soothes my soul. Your clear blue sky freshens and lifts my spirit. The creative, mindful people who call you home renew my faith in the human race.

They say home is where the heart is. Well, Colorado is where my heart is. Although I am miles away, you are still home to me.

Until we meet again, I will keep my eyes to the eastern sky, knowing you are there with your apple-red sunsets, snow dusted mountains and fertile valleys waiting to welcome me home.

Lovingly yours,

Thanks, Barb! I’m already planning a trip for June. I just hope I can be patient; that’s nearly six months away!

I love letters to places. So lovely. And your images! Makes me miss Colorado, too. :)

Awww, thanks Emily. Do you go to Colorado often? It is one of the loveliest places in earth.

I used to live in Colorado, and I have two nieces that live there, and yes it is a beautiful state.

The photo looking through the agricultural art at the distant mountains is beautiful, as are all of these photos.

It is nice to have a place to go back to that you love so much, don’t you think?

That photo is my favorite, Bill. Yes, I think we all need a place that we look forward to visiting — a place that brings us peace and happiness. Take care.
